They fit the basket better and filter the coffee better than the other brands, but they are hard to find in the store.That's why I usually just order the box of 1,000 at a time on-line. The last time, I ordered directly from Bunn, but the price offered on Amazon.com was lower, so I said, "Why not?" and decided to give it a try.We received the same identical product but at a lower price.

AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION WITH MY EXPENSIVE STARBUCKS BARISTA AROMA GRANDE OVERFLOWING GRINDS AND SEDIMENT OVER THE TOP EDGE OF THE MELLITA PAPER FILTERS AND INTO THE COFFEE POT, I BOUGHT THESE FILTERS AT MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE AND WAS AMAZED THAT THEY INDEED DO WORK BETTER WITH NO OVERFLOW. THIS PROBABLY IS DUE TO A TALLER PROFILE TO THE FILTER AND A MORE TIGHTLY FLUTED FILTER WALL. THIS MAKES A STRONGER FILTER EDGE WHICH DOES NOT FOLD DOWN AND PROBABLY INCREASES THE FILTRATION SURFACE AREA....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED OVER THE OTHER BRANDS.
