Dualit 00499 Sandwich Cage Review

I've only had this thing for a day, but that is long enough (with this simple contraption) to come to some very obvious conclusions.First, you can't put regular thickness sliced bread in it (to make a sandwich); the slots of the regular Dualit toasters, which this fits, are not wide enough and you will get bread "oozing" out through the tines, which will make a mess and will contact the actual heating elements.Rather, you would need to either buy very thinly sliced bread (or Pita bread) or slice the bread yourself.You can put cheese in between the slices of bread or inside the piece of pita bread and it will work fine.
This is a pretty odd thing, all things considered, sort of like the British conception of a panini maker inside a toaster.
I sort of like it anyway, though.There are no instructions whatsoever, not even instructions about whether or not it can go in a dishwasher, for example.
So, it is an oddball item; kind of neat if you are into the sort thing that a Dualit toaster buyer would buy . .. . .

This commercial Bunn burr grinder is a total luxury and I love it. It's made of heavy stainless steel and the dual hopper is made of thick polycarbonate with a stainless steel lid. Each hopper will hold about 6 pounds of coffee beans so you can have 2 flavors ready to grind in an instant. The power switch on the front also selects which hopper to grind from. It features flexible stainless rails under the grinder which allow you to slide your brewer basket (with the paper filter in place) in and the coffee is ground directly into the basket! There are 2 access panels on the front which let you adjust the grind (super fine to coarse) and the amount of coffee ground each time. For me, this grinder and my Bunn commercial brewer make me feel spoiled and pampered every time I use them. Some people like cars or diamonds or big screen TVs - I love a great cup of coffee!

BUNN 2-Hopper Ultra Gourmet Ice System (Black) Review

We bought our Bunn Ultra 2 about 3 years ago for large parties, and in that setting it works great! Things to consider: it's really heavy! We purchased a stainless steel rolling cart from a restaurant supply and use/store the monster on it. The Bunn has a very nice feature where you can keep any leftover beverage on a "chill" setting instead of "Ice". This is great for times when you will be using it over a couple of days. The Chill setting will keep the beverage at a safe cold temperature then all you have to do is change the setting to ice and it will refreeze the drinks. Since it has a compressor it does make noise. Most people wouldn't even notice at a large noisy party, but if you are sensitive to background noises, it may bug you. It's really easy to dissemble and clean once you get the hang of it. The biggest challenge we found was to purchase the right drink mix. You can't just dump any drink mix in to the machine because it can potentially damage it. What ever mix you use MUST have a certain "Brix" value (google it).Our first purchase was from a company called Frozen Drink Madness. We ordered several different flavors but found them to be overly sweet. I usually add more alcohol to compensate but alcohol acts like an antifreeze, so you have to be careful. We found the best tasting mixes come from "The Margarita Man" which is a franchise. You can google it to see if there is a rep in your area. The strawberry margarita mix is especially good. You don't always have to make full batches either. I give it 5 stars because once you find the right mix, have a large party, it's a real crowd pleaser! If you are going to use it for smaller groups, be prepared to have a lot of left over drinks.
There are times when we feel like we spent too much on something we only use a couple of times a year, but when we fire it up at parties we are really glad we have it.

Bunn Coffee 13300.0001 Pourover Brewer 1 Warmer Review

How many coffee makers have you gone through at home?If you're like me, it's about one every couple years.My last coffee maker was a BUNN, too, but it was the $89 home machine.It lasted 3 years then started leaking in two different areas.There are no parts available to fix the home BUNN machine.This comercial BUNN VP17-1 is the real deal - this coffee maker will last for decades.Easy to repair (or have repaired) if it needs it, and easy to find parts locally, too.And it's ALL stainless steel - not just pretty stainless accents - it's probably 18 or 20 gauge #4 brushed stainless sheet metal, and it covers the whole machine.It's a really tough coffee maker.

Note that it's pretty tall and deep for the house kitchen, so check that you have a place for it.Also, don't forget to buy a pot.I got the stainless bottom one from Amazon direct. So far I like it.

Of course it makes coffee fast (about 4 minutes) but it also give you very HOT coffee.Hotter than any home machine I've ever had.

One note about Instawares dot com - I bought the machine and filters Sunday night (and my credit card was charged for both).They shipped the filters right away, but no tracking number on the machine.I called Friday and they said they were waiting on one to arrive.I told them to cancel my order (I can get this at Sams on my way home from work, but Instawares has the best price), they called back and said they found one and would upgrade my shipping to 2nd day.So, I got the best price with free shipping, but it took 7 business days and a call to get it.The wait was a little disappointing, but I'm very happy with my machine now!

We are very impressed with this purchase.It is much nicer than the A10 becasue of the standard resturant pot.

Dualit 2-Slice Toaster Review

My husband is very very picky about his toast.I can honestly say that we went through more than 10 toasters of various prices - high and low - half of them made unacceptable toast - and half of them broke while making unacceptable toast - and then we found the Dualit.This was about 5 years ago - in a true panic, I thought I would just go out and buy the most expensive toaster there was - and found this one at williams-sonoma.Sticker shock, but I've recommended it since, to everyone who toasts.And it has made perfect toast since the day we bought it.
It's great - it is really easy to clean.There is no relying on electronics to decide how toasted the bread is - you figure it out and you know forever - about 2 minutes for a piece of toast for wheat bread from the fridge into cold toaster - if second round of toast and toaster is hot, cut it by 25%.The little ticking sound while it's fixing your perfect toast is nice to keep you remembering that you have toast - and when the ticking stops (no cha-ching), you know you are ready.
I have zero regrets and hundreds of absolutely perfect toasting experiences.And we paid full price - this was before amazon got into this market.Dualit is the best toaster in the world -and me? - I am the toaster queen.

Bunn Nhb Professional Home Brewer Review

We love this coffee maker. Over the years we've used a lot of coffee brewers (some very expensive and fancy) -we love our coffee strong and flavorful. We've had several Bunn products over the years and recognize the quality. This model, while simple and basic, is superior to a Cuisinart that we were using. (It was the model with the thermal carafe, programmable). We weren't satisfied with the taste of the coffee considering that we buy good fresh beans and grind each day. When I purchased this model Bunn I didn't know how we'd manage in the early a.m. without the programmable feature...but this is SO FAST. You just pour the water in the top and swing the cover over and within minutes you have a hot flavorful pot of coffee...and that's important if it's 5:00 am and you're in pj's and bare feet waiting for that java boost!(I bought another just in case this one ever gives out...and they don't make the model anymore!!)

Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker Review

Two weeks ago, I needed a new coffee maker.The Krups Aroma Control maker is in all the stores and catalogs, so I bought one in the local mall BEFORE reading the Amazon reviews.BIG MISTAKE.Lesson learned - read the reviews - many negative comments.I used it for 3 days, and readily understood the description (...) of "eye candy" (looks nice, but seems like cheap plastic) and weak coffee (what they describe as a feature - allowing the coffee to steep - is really a euphemism for a poorly designed system that is guaranteed to give you a weak cup of coffee).One redeeming feature - the carafe is very nice.
Within 2 days of having the Krups, i was on Amazon looking for a replacement coffee maker (a good cup of coffee is critical in the morning!).I went out on the risk curve and ordered the new Cuisinart - no reviews yet.The Cuisinart has a more classic brewing system (water goes through grinds via gravity), yields a delicious cup of HOT coffee, has a variable temperature hot place, and looks and feels solid.We happen to have stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, freezer, stove), and it matches beautifully.Best news - excellent coffee!.I would highly recommend the Cuisinart.

I was surprised to find this at my local closeout store, and I just happened to be out of coffee filters and needed a basket style replacement so this fit the bill. Having only seen gold tone permanent filters my expecations were not too high. This particular filter was just slightly smaller than what I expected, however it performed perfectly and no water or coffee spilled over. I guess that's why they named it "Fitz All". I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and smooth the coffee tasted. The filter cleans up so easily, just rinse and set on top of your coffee maker until it's needed. No coffee residue remained anywhere in this filter, and the coffee did taste better than when I make it with the paper filter. Overall I'm very happy with this product and would buy it again.
